Wetlands are precious places for birds, and when I paint them I try not to be too testy about the insect life that thrives in these places.
I resisted added birds to this piece, but the evening fly catchers were out overhead. Lots of swooping and chatter. Can you hear them?
Painted en plein air and finished in the studio.
