Above East Barnard

This is the hilltop where Randy parks his teardrop camper.

We go up to sing around a fire with him. He plays fiddle and the sky is a huge bowl of stars overhead. I’ve painted up here a few times. It looks down upon the rooftops of my neighbors and friends. It looks down on my house, the little church, the apple trees, gardens and lives of a community that resounds deeply as home.
