SOLD – Gibb’s House Across the Meadow

The day after I painted Fog Lifting on Walker Hill I drove the Tundra back up to the same exact spot and turned my easel in the other direction.

It was already clear when I arrived—a totally different type of sky and light. Shadows were deep across the tall meadow grasses and in the distance, the white house shone in the early sun. I set up, sipped coffee and imagined sitting on that porch on a summer morning. I have been in this house a few times and it’s a well-loved place. It is still lived in by descendents of a long-standing family of East Barnard. Oh the stories it could tell.
