Fable Farm hosts a summer music series on Thursday nights. It’s only a few minutes away so we often go and join the crowds on the hillside to sip their artisanal ciders and listen to music. The light softens perfectly around the second set.
This was painted in the studio in winter of 2024 from many photos taken during 2022 and 2023 summers. Barn swallows are a regular feature of our evening skies all summer.
Painted en plein air and finished in the studio.
