July Meadow

Every morning for the summer of 2021 we walked up the hill just past my dad’s house to the farm on the crest where our good friends live.

The dog got pokie on the hill just at the point by the broken stone wall where you can see through the ferns and branches to this little meadow. On a July morning there is so much green and blue and the sun is dazzling. I painted this in two sittings because the light of July could never be replicated in the studio. Had to sit under the sky and make it happen.
