SOLD – The View from Rock Hill

This piece was painted en plein air about a mile from my house. Poetry hangs in the breezes up here.

I painted this side by side with my friend JJ at the beginning of the pandemic. I remember talking about the many unknowns, and our gratitude for our little community. The pond below is our favorite place to swim and JJ’s garden is just behind us, as is her farmhouse—a rambling place once owned by a beloved poet who lingers on this hill, a muse to all artists. A house that has been here since the last pandemic. It will endure.
