Gray Barns in September

In September the colors still hint at summer, but fall is just around the corner and hints of it show up in the softening hues and early morning fog.

This farm is approached from a long driveway and I set up below the hill where the two old barns have stood for over a century. Cows came and went, too often to paint them in. Can you almost imagine them passing to and fro?
